Experience the amazing benefits of this safe, minimally invasive, cutting-edge treatment.
As we get older, injuries seem to linger as our bodies work harder to heal. But the building blocks that allow us to heal fast are still there. The body just has trouble collecting and utilizing them.
But thanks to amazing medical advancements, we can now use human cellular tissue to great effect for a number of injuries and issues.
If you’re suffering from issues or injuries in your joints, nerves, tendons, ligaments, or muscles, minimally invasive human cellular tissue injections can help to heal your injury and relieve your pain.
Since these minimally invasive injections are so effective, they present a viable option for avoiding surgery and the use of dangerous narcotics used for pain management.
What is Human Cellular Tissue?
Human cellular tissue contains the cells that are the building blocks for our bodies. These cells have the ability to form into other cells. This ability is key to the healing of any injury or fighting many different kinds of diseases, such as arthritis.
The body contains these cells and rallies them to heal injuries. But as our bodies get older, the number of these cells becomes depleted, which is why our bodies take longer to heal.
Thanks to advances in medical technology and research, we now have several safe and ethical ways to gather high concentrations of these cells and inject them where the body needs them.
How Are These Minimally Invasive Injections Administered?
We use strict protocols under the direction of our medical staff to administer these minimally invasive injections. Often, they are done with a local anesthetic to make for a pain-free injection. They don’t take long and are easily done on an outpatient basis.
Adverse effects are rare, and so is the need for long recovery times associated with surgery. In fact, most of our patients don’t need to change their lifestyle much at all after these injections. And once they start experiencing the benefits, they report doing things they haven’t been able to do in years!
How Do These Minimally Invasive Injections Help?
The use of human cellular tissue is unique because it utilizes naturally occurring cells to promote healing. Essentially, a series of minimally invasive injections jumpstart the body’s healing process by providing an influx of these special cells. They then go to work actually healing the injury or issue, regenerating lost tissue, balancing the autoimmune response, and repairing damaged tissue.
While research on human cellular tissue is ongoing for things like heart disease and diabetes, the science is clear on its efficacy in treating musculoskeletal issues. This is what we specialize in here at Better Health Alaska. So let’s get specific so you can see if these minimally invasive injections could be right for you.
Who Can Benefit From Minimally Invasive Human Cellular Tissue Injections?
Those that have mild-to-moderate injuries — even if they’re chronic — have the best results with Human Cellular Tissue Injections. The success rate for these types of musculoskeletal injuries is very high. So if you’re suffering from one of the issues listed below, you could be an ideal candidate for these minimally invasive injections as a major part of an overall plan for healing and pain relief.
- Rotator cuff injuries
- Achilles tears
- ACL tears
- Meniscus tears
- Arthritic joints
- Plantar fasciitis
- Sprains and strains
- Osteoarthritis
Any pain in the joints can often be treated with these types of injections. This includes the knees, shoulders, hips, ankles, and wrists. Slow-healing injuries and chronic pain in the joints can also benefit greatly from the healing abilities of minimally invasive Human Cellular Tissue Injections.
What the Science Says
More and more scientific studies are published every year about the benefits and safety of human cellular tissue. Here are a few recent studies to give you an idea of the power of these minimally invasive injections for those with musculoskeletal issues.
A 2014 study compared two groups of patients who had received rotator cuff repair surgery. One group was given bone-marrow-derived human cellular tissue at the time of the surgery. The other group was not. The results show a significant difference between the two groups.
The group that received the human cellular tissue not only healed quicker than the other group, but was found to be less likely to re-injure the rotator cuff even ten years after the surgery. At the ten-year follow-up, 87% of the human cellular tissue-treated group had intact rotator cuffs. The other group only had a 44% intact rate, meaning nearly twice as many members of the control group re-injured their shoulders in the ten years after surgery.
As one systematic review published in 2016 found, treating osteoarthritis with human cellular tissues shows tremendous promise. Of the eleven studies included in the review, all of them reported excellent outcomes in treating early osteoarthritis of the knee. According to the study, “All patients reported improvement of symptoms and quality of life at follow-up.” There were also no serious adverse events reported, which adds to the evidence that these injections are safe.
Another study, published in 2011, showed the power of human cellular tissue taken from the adipose tissue of patients. Two patients with knee osteoarthritis had cellular tissue removed from their body fat. The human cellular tissue was separated and injected into their knees. Results showed that the cells actually contributed to the regrowth of cartilage in the knees. The same study showed bone regrowth in two other patients with hip osteonecrosis.
A study outlining the use of human cellular tissue and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) found that this combination was effective for healing Achilles tendonitis and tears. Initially, the patients experienced a slight rise in discomfort. But after three to four weeks, all patients were experiencing marked improvements. At 12 weeks, all patients were back to normal functionality with no pain or discomfort. After three to four years, all patients were still healthy and hadn’t experienced injury recurrence.
